# How do I add a new section? (legacy)

To add a new section, open up the sidebar on the left-hand side of the writing studio and click the  `+`  icon. Name the section and it will appear in your manuscript list.

| There is no limit to the number of sections you can create, and you can edit the section titles at any time by clicking on the title field at the top of the page on each section and typing as normal.

You can also add a new nested sections by using the + button next to an already created section, or creating and naming a new section then dragging it onto the section you want it to be under. To drag, simply click and hold the section title, and drag to where it is needed.
