# What do the icons on the writing screen mean? (legacy)


We’ve tried to keep Novlr’s interface neat, clean, and easy to use.  To do that we’ve used common icons to represent most of our formatting and settings features.

Here’s a rundown of the icons we use, where they appear, and what they mean:
